Reporting to the Director, Financial Trading & Analysis, this position will have primary responsibility for ensuring accurate price capture of Tidal's Crude Oil and NGL transactions. The successful candidate will also perform various other tasks in support of Tidal's marketing and trading efforts including ad hoc analytic work.

What You Will Do:
  • Interpret Crude and NGL deal tickets and build related contracts.

  • Enter contracts into marketing systems for Crude/NGL in a timely manner.

  • Aid in modelling of inventory and calculation of monthly results.

  • Create efficiencies around deal capture and flow of information between various stakeholders.

  • Liaise with internal departments including Contract Admin, Risk Control and Accounting.

  • Perform ad hoc analytic work in support of trading efforts.

Who You Are:Required:
  • One or more years prior experience.

  • Business or Science related degree from a recognized institution.

  • Strong analytical and strategic-thinking abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail with proven organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication skills: both written and oral.

  • Comfort in team/collaborative setting; able to function in cross-functional groups.

  • Strong self-motivator; able to take on projects and further them with only moderate guidance.

Preferred:

Experience with energy markets and marketing environments a strong asset.

Working Conditions:
  • Typical office environment. Direct supervision will be available to the extent required.

  • Primary tools are telephone and computer systems based.
