JOB SUMMARY:
The Service Supervisor will lead the branch service shop and yard to ensure an efficient, safe, and profitable operation. This individual is responsible for developing and managing relationships with customers, employees, salesmen, and other departments. The Service Supervisor will receive daily calls from customers regarding price and scheduling for machine repair and service, technical information, recognition of warranty contracts, equipment transportation needs, and other issues. To support our safety objectives, we have developed a comprehensive safety system that emphasizes accountability, commitment, and active involvement. This role is also responsible for guiding new technicians and students as they progress through our Technician Development Training, and for helping students develop their skills after graduation while aiding their progress through the various technician levels. Each employee is responsible for focusing on behaviors and safety activities that will drive zero incidents and injuries and promote a sustainable safety culture. This includes adherence to all Ohio Machinery Safety Policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and best safe practices.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five years of industry experience.
  • Five years of supervisory experience.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of mechanical repair procedures and their application to equipment repair.
  • Knowledge and understanding of heavy equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Proven experience working closely with internal and external customers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of the job, the supervisor is occasionally required to sit, push, pull, and balance. Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, balance, and use hands to finger, feel, or operate objects. Occasionally, heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) is required. Driving motor vehicles and heavy equipment is occasionally required. Climbing stairs and ladders is occasionally required. Hand-eye coordination is essential for operating equipment. Specific visual abilities required of this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
