The Senior Project Manager is entrusted with leading the delivery of the organization's complex, high-value, and strategically critical projects, typically with a scope ranging from $30M-$70M. This senior-level position demands strong project leadership, cross-functional insight, and the ability to navigate complex environments with influence and precision.
The Senior Project Manager brings significant expertise in project management methodologies, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and change leadership. A key focus of this role is building and sustaining strong, trust-based relationships with customers. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $120,000 - $140,000 CAD at the time of posting. Finalcompensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education,experience, knowledge, and skills

Project Initiation / Integration:

  • Lead the initiation and planning of highly complex, strategic projects, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that encompass all necessary activities, resources, and timelines, utilizing advanced project management techniques and tools.

  • Establish and maintain project governance structures, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes.

  • Develop business cases and project charters, securing stakeholder buy-in and alignment.

Project Schedule and Resource Management:

  • Lead and motivate high-performing project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment mentoring project team members on project management best practices.

  • Develop and implement resource management plans, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of project resources across multiple projects.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive integrated project plan using standard tools and methods that align with contractual requirements.

  • Manage dependencies between project tasks and activities, ensuring seamless integration and timely completion.

  • Monitor project progress, identify critical path activities, and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules and budgets.

Stakeholder and Communication Management:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans, ensuring effective and timely communication with all stakeholders.

  • Works independently with minimal supervision. Provides guidance and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Practitioners, and Associate Project Managers.

  • Internal: All Project Stakeholders, including senior management and executive leadership.

  • External: Interacts with external vendors, consultants, and clients, independently managing those relationships within the scope of assigned projects. Serves as a key point of contact for external project-related inquiries and represents the organization in external forums.

  • Travel: Up to 40% travel may be required to support project execution.
