This Position reports to:

Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager leads the execution of complex mining electrification projects, ensuring delivery in line with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the role drives alignment across technical, commercial, and execution activities while maintaining strong customer relationships. The position manages risks and change, ensures clear project governance, and supports effective decision-making and continuous improvement.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role is contributing to the AUPI Mining & Material division.


You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams to support the successful delivery of large mining electrification projects, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Promote customer satisfaction through responsive communication and effective issue coordination.
  • Support project planning activities, including schedule development, monitoring, and updates as required.
  • Identify, assess, and track project risks and opportunities, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up.
  • Coordinate project team activities to foster collaboration, alignment, and a positive team environment.
  • Manage change requests, including coordination of inputs, preparation of quotations, and implementation with support from technical and support functions.

Qualifications for the role

  • Electrical or mechanical engineering university degree or technologist diploma with a minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant project experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and drive successful outcomes.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed, cross-functional, and multicultural teams in a virtual environment.
  • Solid understanding of project financial management, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
  • Experience managing projects involving electrical installation, construction, or field execution activities from planning through completion.
  • Bilingual French and English. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
  • Prior experience in the mining industry and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are considered a strong asset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10-20% of the time for short-duration business trips.
