Job description

Join Pride Health as a Phlebotomist II at Atlanta, GA! This is a 3+ months contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.


Role: Phlebotomist II

Location: Atlanta, GA 30327

Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Flexibility Required)

Hours per Week: 40 hours

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Highlights: $20-22.26/hour (Based on years of experience & education)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection for patients of all ages.
  • Collect approximately 20–40 blood draws per day.
  • Process and prepare specimens after collection, including specimen aliquoting ("pour-offs") and packaging for transport.
  • Ensure specimen integrity and proper labeling following laboratory procedures.
  • Transport and organize specimens for shipment to the Birmingham laboratory.
  • Maintain accurate patient and specimen documentation.
  • Follow all laboratory safety, quality assurance, HIPAA, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Work closely with fellow phlebotomists and clinical staff to support daily operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience required
  • Experience with:
    • Pediatric collections
    • Geriatric collections
    • Capillary collections


Note: Local candidates within 25-30 miles are eligible.


*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
