Job description

Position Summary: The Assistant Coach supports the Head & Associate Head Coaches in all aspects of theSoccer program, including athlete development, team operations, training planning, administrative tasks, and fostering a positive, competitive, and growth-oriented environment. This role helps ensure the program aligns with organizational standards,athletewell-being, and competitive excellence. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supportwith planning, organizing, and conductinghigh-qualitypractices session and the implementation of a safe gameday environment   
  • Support the associate and Head coaches in the delivery of the IMG Academy – Soccer game model and associated development cycles.  
  • Provide additional support to associate and head coaches to develop unrivaled connections with student-athletes and parents/guardiansregardingprogress goals, development plans, and thestudent’s overall growth in soccer, academics, and campus life  
  • Provided support to associate and head coaches to prepare for tournaments and league play  
  • Develop andmaintaina comprehensive understanding of the instructional equipment, technology, and methodologies used in the IMG Academy’sSoccerprogram.  
  • Serve as a mentor fostering positive habits, life skills, and sport-specific learning for each student-athlete  
  • Continuously evaluate the athletic and emotional development of each student-athlete and collaborate with Associate & Head Coaches to ensureappropriateinternaland external resources are engaged  
  • Where applicable assistin the college placement of the student-athlete asneeded  
  • Collaborate withAssociate & Head Coachesto regularly review and enhance program delivery,objectives, and resources, providing recommendations to improve quality supporting business growth  
  • Support recruiting and retention initiativesforcurrent and prospective student-athletes  
  • Travel totournaments and participate in ensuring the safety of all traveling student-Athletes  
  • Assistin camp delivery  
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct  
  • Other duties as assigned 

 Qualifications: 

  • High standard of proficiency in tennis coaching, training techniques, and athlete development 
  • Experience playing, coaching, or managing at the collegiate, club, or professional level 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred 
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-performance environment 
  • Strong commitment to student-athlete development, welfare, and academic success 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience developing elite soccer players 
  • Knowledge of soccer performance analytics, video analysis, and player development technology 
  • Experience with recruiting and college placement processes 
  • Bilingual preferred 
  • CPR Certification preferred 
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel for tournaments, recruiting events, and team travel 
  • Experience working camps, clinics, showcases, and player development programs 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.  
  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time. 
  • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
