We are looking for a talented and experienced Snowflake Database Administrator (DBA) to become a vital part of our client's teams. The ideal candidate will manage, maintain, and optimize their Snowflake data platform, collaborating closely with data architects, engineers, and business teams to ensure our data infrastructure is performant, secure, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and administer the Snowflake cloud data platform, including user roles, access permissions, and database configurations.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, backups, and recovery processes to ensure database integrity.
  • Monitor and enhance query performance for effective data processing and storage.
  • Apply best practices for clustering, partitioning, and indexing to improve system efficiency.
  • Uphold data security and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Implement comprehensive data governance frameworks, encryption, and data masking strategies.
  • Automate data pipelines and workflows utilizing Snowflake features and integrations with tools like Informatica, Matillion, or DBT.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to design scalable ETL processes.
  • Track Snowflake usage and costs to optimize resource utilization.
  • Diagnose and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective data models and architecture.
  • Document database structures, configurations, and operational processes for clarity and future reference.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Snowflake DBA or in a comparable role managing Snowflake environments.
