Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Management Specialist to provide expert advice and assistance in support of a Government Special Access Program (SAP). This position has a high probability of TDY's, must be willing to travel. This role requires a professional capable of interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating complex security assignments with significant impact on organizational programs. The position involves exploration of security program requirements, defining project scope, identifying issues, and supporting the Government in maintaining full compliance with DoD security directives. All classified information will remain under Government control. Any classified material generated must comply with the appropriate security classification guides. Contractors will participate in endofday security checks.


Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity Program Support
  • Advise and assist the Government in accordance with DoD Manual 5205.07, DoD SAP Security Manual.
  • Support planning, development, and execution of security projects involving unique or sensitive issues.
  • Conduct exploration of security program areas, define scope, and identify problems requiring investigation.
Classified Information Management
  • Maintain databases tracking receipt, storage, inventory, and disposition of classified materials.
  • Perform data entry, updates, report generation, and management of local tracking tools, rosters, visit requests, and entry authority lists.
  • Assist with inspections and protection of areas where classified information is stored.
  • Conduct or support annual selfinspections, inventories, logging, storage, reproduction, documentation, transmittal, and internal distribution of classified information.
  • Monitor, track, and report corrective actions from inspections and compliance reviews.
Physical & Administrative Security Tasks
  • Climb ladders and lift false floor panels during construction phases and annual inspections.
  • Prepare materials for mail or courier delivery, including wrapping packages and preparing fax transmittal cover sheets.
  • Assist with creation, processing, and distribution of security access documentation, including SAP nomination packages.
  • Maintain tracking systems for personnel security documentation.
  • Support Force Protection and emergency procedures, including destruction of classified material.
Access & Visitor Control
  • Maintain databases of classified visits and clearance levels.
  • Prepare and distribute classified visit requests.
  • Assist with creation and distribution of access badges, including updates to control systems.
  • Process adverse information reports, including documentation and uploading into required databases.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SAP eligibility.
  • Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community security programs.
  • Strong understanding of DoD Manual 5205.07 and SAP security requirements.
  • Ability to manage classified materials in accordance with federal regulations.
  • Proficiency with security databases, tracking systems, and documentation processes.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting floor panels.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problemsolving skills.
  • Prior experience in a SAPF environment.
  • Familiarity with personnel security adjudicative guidelines.
  • Experience supporting inspections, audits, or compliance reviews.
  • Ability to develop or enhance automated security tools and workflows.
  • Must be willing to travel (up to 50%)
