Advent Care Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Sanford, Florida. You will work in a rehabilitation facility that is fully equipped with modern treatment technologies and resources. Working Monday through Friday in this full-time role, you will engage in a 40-hour workweek, allowing you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients throughout the week.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based practices to address a wide range of conditions, prioritizing the unique needs of each patient.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, exercise prescriptions, and functional training, to promote healing and improve mobility.
• Monitor patients' progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure maximum recovery outcomes.
• Provide education and training for patients and their caregivers regarding rehabilitation practices and home exercise programs.
• Utilize modern documentation systems to maintain accurate records and track patient progress, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop collaborative strategies for optimal care.
• Exceed minimum utilization goals and contribute to business development through excellent customer service.

Your role will involve working with diverse patient populations, including those with orthopedic injuries, pediatric conditions, neurologic disorders, and sports-related ailments. This diversity in case types allows you to broaden your clinical expertise while making a difference in the lives of patients from various backgrounds. You will foster relationships with patients, ensuring that you understand their goals, preferences, and concerns, which will guide their rehabilitation process.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) and basic office software for documentation and patient management.
• Ability to build enduring relationships with patients to motivate and guide them towards achieving their recovery goals.

• Two years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist is preferred, allowing for a smoother transition into our practice.
• Experience with pediatric and neuro rehabilitation is an advantage.
• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Current CPR Certificate is also desired to ensure patient safety at all times.
