Position Title: Middle/High School Science (Life Science/Physical Science)

Contract Period: 2026-2027 contract
Reports to: Principal
Hours: Full Time

General Description:
The Science Teacher is expected to provide high quality, engaging instruction and leaderhsip for all students, communicate with parents, perform other duties and responsibilities in support of the school, and above all serve as a Godly example for students in a christian school environment. Applicants must be saved Christian in accordance with the Christian faith and the mission of CCS. They must also be willing to sign a Statement of Faith as a condition for hire.

Regular Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Providing engaging and challenging instruction
  • Creates a student environment that promotes learning and fosters age-appropriate growth and development for all students
  • Manages behavior of all students according to classroom rules and student handbook
  • Holds high expectations for Christian character
  • Communicating with parents to inform them of student progress, including written, phone, or face to face conferencing as needed
  • Participating in meaningful professional development opportunities as coordinated by the CCS Administrative Team
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Administrative Team

Physical Requirements Include:
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to clearly communicate with students, parents, and staff
  • Ability to travel to and from the workplace
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in field
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written, oral) in standard English

Preferred Qualifications Include:
  • Previous coacing and leadership experience at the middle and high schools level
