Job Description and Requirements
We Are:
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are:
You have spent years in the SAP BRIM world, building systems that actually process millions in revenue, not just configurations that look good in a demo. You understand that billing is never just billing. It is contracts, pricing, usage data, integrations that break at 2am, and finance teams who need their numbers to reconcile perfectly every single time. You have sat in enough design sessions to know when a requirement sounds simple but will create technical debt six months down the line, and you speak up before it gets built.
You are equally comfortable whiteboarding a solution architecture with a VP of Finance and debugging a FI-CA posting issue in a sandbox. You do not need a perfect spec to get started. You ask the right questions, map the dependencies, and build something that scales. When a business user says "we need flexible billing," you know how to translate that into Convergent Invoicing configuration, integration touchpoints, and a test plan that actually covers edge cases. At Synopsys, you will work on billing and revenue systems that support complex subscription models across a global business, and what you architect will directly affect how accurately and efficiently we recognize revenue.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead design sessions with finance, sales ops, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into SAP BRIM solution architectures
  • Configure and extend SAP BRIM modules including Convergent Invoicing, FI-CA, Convergent Charging, and Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR)
  • Design and implement integrations between BRIM and upstream systems using standard APIs, custom interfaces, and middleware
  • Document functional specifications, process flows, and technical designs that development teams and business users can actually use
  • Build and execute test scenarios covering end-to-end Order-to-Cash and revenue recognition workflows, including edge cases and error handling
  • Troubleshoot production issues across billing, invoicing, and revenue posting, working with ABAP developers and basis teams to resolve root causes
  • Drive process optimization initiatives by identifying inefficiencies in current workflows and recommending scalable, reusable solutions

The Impact You Will Have:
  • Enable accurate and timely revenue recognition across complex subscription and usage-based business models that directly affect financial reporting
  • Improve billing system performance and scalability so the platform supports business growth without requiring constant rework
  • Reduce manual intervention and billing errors by designing automated, exception-based workflows that finance teams can trust
  • Ensure seamless data flow between sales, usage tracking, billing, and general ledger systems through well-architected integrations
  • Accelerate time-to-market for new pricing models and contract types by building flexible, configurable BRIM solutions
  • Strengthen system reliability and uptime for mission-critical finance operations that process invoices and revenue for a global customer base
  • Contribute technical and functional expertise that elevates the team's ability to deliver high-quality solutions on aggressive timelines

What You'll Need:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BRIM, including at least two full lifecycle implementations
  • Deep expertise in SAP FI-CA, Convergent Invoicing, and Convergent Charging, including configuration, master data, and process flows
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP FI components including AR, GL, Credit Management, and Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR)
  • Demonstrated experience designing and supporting integrations between BRIM and external systems using APIs, IDocs, or middleware platforms
  • Solid understanding of the SAP enhancement framework, including BAdIs, BTEs, FI-CA events, and when to use each
  • Experience with RICEFW development cycles, including the ability to write functional specs for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent practical experience in SAP solution architecture

Who You Are:
  • You can walk into a room with a CFO and a technical architect, hear two different versions of the same requirement, and synthesize a solution that satisfies both without creating downstream chaos
  • When a production billing run fails at month-end, you do not panic. You methodically trace the issue from the invoice document back through FI-CA postings, charging data, and integration logs until you find the root cause
  • You push back when a business request will create unmaintainable customization, and you come prepared with an alternative approach that meets the need without breaking the system
  • You are organized enough to manage multiple workstreams, a BRIM upgrade, a new pricing model rollout, and a production support queue, without losing track of what is blocking what
  • You write documentation that other people actually read. Your functional specs are clear, your process flows are accurate, and your test scripts cover the scenarios that always get missed
  • You stay current on SAP BRIM roadmap updates, S/4HANA migration considerations, and best practices because you know the landscape is always shifting

The Team You'll Be Part Of:
You will be part of a Business Applications team focused on delivering SAP BRIM solutions that support billing, revenue recognition, and financial processes. The team works closely with finance stakeholders and technical teams to design, implement, and support critical systems. Together, you will drive process improvements, ensure system reliability, and support the business in managing complex subscription and revenue models.
Rewards and Benefits:
We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
