Position OverviewThe Business Applications Support Specialist provides day-to-day operational support for Salesforce.com, the quoting tool, and related business applications. Working within established procedures, documented requirements, and defined approval processes, this role performs system maintenance, data updates, user support, testing, documentation, and training activities that help maintain reliable business processes and a consistent user experience. The position works under the general direction of the Senior Business Applications Analyst or manager. Assignments are completed using established standards and priorities; non-routine issues, material system changes, and exceptions to policy are escalated for review and approval. This role collaborates with Marketing, Regulatory, Planning, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Order Management, and IT to process requests, resolve routine issues, maintain accurate data, and support approved system enhancements. Gather information from business users, document requirements using established templates, create or update cases, and route requests to IT or the appropriate reviewer. Maintain approved Salesforce.com objects, libraries, product records, pricing data, and marketing description translations in accordance with documented procedures and authorized change requests. Execute test scripts for approved projects and enhancements, document results, identify variances, and report findings to the project owner or manager. Provide first-line support for Salesforce.com and quoting-tool users; resolve routine issues using documented guidance and escalate complex, recurring, security-related, or policy-related issues. Draft and maintain user documentation, quick-reference guides, work instructions, and in-app guidance materials; deliver training using approved content and processes. Approved quoting-tool updates, including configuration, product setup, discount thresholds, pricing, and obtain required review before release. Process approved new-user and existing-user setup requests, including multifactor authentication and navigation preferences, following access-control procedures. Prepare and distribute approved communications regarding new releases and functionality in the quoting tool and Salesforce.com. Perform contract-management support tasks and assist global contract administrators in accordance with established procedures, templates, and approval requirements. Knowledge and Experience:Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience; bachelor's degree preferred Two to four years of experience supporting, administering, testing, or maintaining business applications or business-process systems Experience with Salesforce.com or a comparable customer relationship management system preferred Working knowledge of quote-to-cash processes preferred Ability to follow documented procedures, maintain accurate records, manage assigned priorities, and escalate exceptions appropriately Skills/Abilities:Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide responsive customer support Compile and review data from multiple sources, identify routine discrepancies, and prepare reports or summaries using established formats Track assigned metrics and raise data-quality or process concerns to the appropriate business owner Ability to document process-improvement opportunities and implement changes after approval Ability to troubleshoot routine issues using documented resources and escalate issues outside established guidelines Strong organization, listening, follow-through, and time-management skills; ability to meet assigned deadlines Practical analytical, data-validation, and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively, respond professionally to users, and refer conflicts or decisions outside the role's authority to management Salary and Benefits:$36.06/hr. - $43.27/hr. depending on experience (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).
