Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Business Analyst with strong functional expertise in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Flows, along with hands-on experience supporting Private Equity (PE) firms or portfolio company ecosystems. The role requires deep skills in business analysis, product ownership support, process optimization, documentation, and cross-functional stakeholder management. The candidate will drive requirements, manage backlogs, support roadmap execution, and ensure high-quality delivery of Salesforce enhancements.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with investment teams, portfolio operations, finance, and cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into detailed user storiesacceptance criteria, and functional specifications using tools like JIRA.
  • Document As-Is and To-Be process flows, data models, and system touchpoints using Confluence or similar documentation platforms.
  • Maintain and groom the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and overall roadmap.
  • Conduct impact assessments and feasibility studies for new features and enhancements.
Salesforce Functional Expertise
  • Recommend scalable Salesforce solutions leveraging Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Flows, Approval Processes, and platform automation features.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to Salesforce best practices, platform governance, and architectural guidelines.
  • Support developers and architects by clarifying requirements and validating solution designs.
Solution Delivery
  • Work closely with technical teams through the development lifecycle, ensuring requirements are correctly implemented.
  • Develop UAT plans, create test scenarios, coordinate UAT cycles with business users, and track issues to closure.
  • Manage release readiness tasks, ensuring deployment documentation is complete and stakeholders are trained.
  • Conduct end-user training sessions, create training materials, and support onboarding for internal users and portfolio company teams.
Data & Reporting
  • Support data mapping, data harmonization, migration activities, and validation—particularly for multi-org or multi-portfolio reporting needs.
  • Define meaningful dashboards and reporting requirements for pipeline visibility, portfolio monitoring, and operational insights.
Stakeholder & Project Management
  • Act as the bridge between business users and the Salesforce technical team.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment, ensuring prioritization and dependencies are clearly understood.
  • Provide transparent communication on progress, risks, and changes.
  • Contribute to sprint ceremonies (refinement, planning, demo, retro) in agile delivery environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 4 - 10 years of Business Analyst experience, with at least 4 - 10 years on Salesforce projects.
  • Experience working with Private Equity, portfolio companies, asset management, or financial services environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Flows.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRAConfluence, backlog management, and roadmap planning.
  • Strong abilities in process documentation, data modeling, and writing user stories.
  • Understanding of Salesforce security model, permission sets, record access, and governance.
  • Experience managing UAT, defect triage, and user training.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with data migration tools (Data Loader) and integrations (API concepts).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (mandatory).
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Consultant certifications (preferred).
  • Experience handling multi-org data flows, portfolio reporting processes, or deal lifecycle automation.
  • Exposure to Experience Cloud and external stakeholder portal use cases.
