Job description

Job Summary:

The FAT Technician reports to the Division Manager to ensure successful Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and finished products meet the requirements of drawings and documents. The hours of this job are specific to the job being completed in a timely and efficient manner based off production and scheduling needs.

Functions of Position:

  • Ensure all parts and components are moved to testing area prior to start of FAT.
  • Perform assembly and pre-FAT inspection of equipment.
  • Work with production staff.
  • Coordinate and execute all testing as specified in FAT procedures to ensure compliance with Codes and Standards. Testing includes drawing verifications, surface finish, mechanical testing of accessories.
  • Communicate concerns to the Division Manager.
  • Assist with closure of punch list items prior to shipping prep.
  • Complete cross training in other areas to help with coverage as needed.
  • Comply with all Wingo Safety and Company policies and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Perform Mechanical, Electrical, Controls and Visual inspections
  • Perform Tagging/Labeling Checks
  • Perform Electrical Visual inspections
  • Perform Electrical Equipment Inspections
  • Perform Electrical Testing
  • Perform Pre-Energization Electrical Panel Inspections
  • Safely Energize Power Distribution Equipment
  • Perform Small Power System Testing (Lighting, Receptacles)
  • Perform Rotational Check
  • Perform Controls Verifications including:
  • Point to Point Wiring Testing
  • I/O Functional Tests of AI/AO/DI/DO Devices with End of Line Testers, or Hand-held meters
  • Instrument Function Testing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Siemens S7 & TIA Experience
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Electrical experience for wiring high and low voltage components
  • Instrumentation experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, and maneuvering up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and platforms for elevated work.
  • Walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, and balancing.
  • Being mindful of chemical safety and use proper PPE when required.
  • Ability to handle stress and fast paces environment.
