Registered Nurse (RN) - CATH LAB CWR

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. The RN identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Responsibilities include developing and coordinating individualized care plans, performing therapeutic nursing interventions, managing patient care, and documenting care based on standards of practice. The RN advocates for evidence-based practices and provides patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing models. Additional duties may be assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Cath Lab experience
- Ability to function as an intra-procedural RN responsible for documentation, medication administration, and circulator duties for minimally invasive procedures such as LHC and PCI
- Experience with equipment such as IABP, Impella, Shockwave, and various atherectomy devices
- Willingness to cover on-call for the Cath Lab, including cardiac procedures off-hours and weekends
- ASN degree
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
- BLS-AHA certification
- ACLS-AHA certification
- Telemetry certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Critical care experience
- Prior experience with EPIC and Sensis
- Vascular and/or Neuro diagnostic and interventions experience
- BSN degree
Additional Information:
- Work schedule: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, 3x12s (36 hours per week)
- No weekends or holidays unless on-call (on-call required)
- On-call coverage likely every 5 weeks, subject to change
