Job Title: Local Contract - Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Number of positions: 1

Shift: Night shifts- 36 hours
Duration: 13 weeks

Hourly pay: $46.33
OT: 1.5
Weekly Pay: $1,667.88
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Department: Nursing Administration
Shift Timings: 18:30 - 07:00 Hours Monday to Friday 3 days/12 Hours Shift.
Per Week: 36 Hours.
30 bed Medical Stepdown 1:3/4 nurse patient ratio with Patient Care Tech assistance Bedside monitors on unit with Central Monitoring also monitoring Every other weekend required Minimum of 1 Summer Holiday required ACLS/BCL required.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care including observation and documentation of patient healthcare needs and communication of pertinent information to the registered nurse and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Assist with documentation and implementation of physician and nursing orders under the direction of the registered nurse preceptor.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Communicate, monitor and record changes in patient condition as appropriate.
  • Actively engage and participate in transition to practice programs in order to develop clinical thinking and enhanced clinical judgment to provide safe, competent, person-centered care.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Telemetry experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Active unencumbered Alabama RN state license
  • One year of Cerner experience
Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
