Summary: 

  • Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls, and modifies aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.

  • Applies knowledge of aircraft systems operation and maintenance including landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, rigging, and aircraft movement.

  • Comprehends safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Uses hands to grasp, handle, feel, reach, and perform repetitive movements.

  • Frequently stands, walks, stoops, kneels, squats, crawls, twists, and works on or in the aircraft.

  • Performs work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.

  • Properly uses, handles, and disposes of hazardous materials and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures.

  • Wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks.

  • Works in environments with regular exposure to vibration.

  • Performs mission essential functions and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Experience inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and modifying aircraft systems and powerplants.

  • Knowledge of landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, rigging, and aircraft movement.

  • Ability to comprehend safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to perform repetitive movements and work overhead.

  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.

  • Ability to properly use, handle, and dispose of hazardous materials and chemicals per regulations.

  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
