MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE  

The Contract Administrator position is part of our Cardiometabolic business unit and is based in Lake Forest, Illinois. In this role, you will provide administrative support, strategic analysis, and contract administration expertise to both internal and external customers on behalf of the Contracts & Pricing Department. 

As a key business partner, you will serve as a liaison between Account Executives, Regional Sales Directors, District Managers, and cross-functional teams to support the development, negotiation, processing, and administration of sales contracts. This position plays an important role in ensuring contract accuracy, compliance, and timely execution while delivering excellent customer service and operational support. 

This role is based in the ARDx Lake Forest office. To support onboarding and training, employees are required to work onsite five (5) days per week for the first three (3) to six (6) months. Upon successful completion of the onboarding period, the position will transition to a hybrid schedule, allowing one (1) work-from-home day per week. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES  

•Ensure timely processing of sales contracts 

•Negotiate and draft contract terms and conditions in accordance with corporate policies 

•Analyze potential risks that contract changes may pose to the organization 

•Present and explain contract conditions and details to customers, business partners, and management 

•Resolve any existing contract conflicts 

•Work with different levels of personnel within an organization to analyze and solidify an overall contract strategy 

•Independently support sales regions regarding full contract management 

•Acts as a resource to the sales organization regarding current pricing and contracting policies and programs 

•Participate in and prepare for contracting strategy meetings 

•Perform database maintenance on an ongoing basis to insure accurate reporting 

•Assist in updating departmental SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) 

• Perform other duties & projects as assigned.  

• Understand and are aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job.  

• Meet deadlines and update sales reps with status  

• Be one of the company’s CRM system super-users to generate reports, analyze data, and track product and ordering patterns  

• Interface with internal fulfillment group and distributors to establish working relationships, assure proper compliance with contracts  

• Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflect positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Bachelors Degree (± 16 years), In a business-related discipline 

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in commercial sales contracting. 

  • Minimum intermediate Word and Excel experience a must. 

  • Two to four years’ experience directly related to contract administration, preferably within the biotech/ healthcare or sales industry.  

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and constructively communicate across departmental disciplines while pursuing contract department goals. 

  • Must have good communication & organizational skills 

  • Must have customer service attitude & good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) 

  • Self-starter and a multi-tasker 

  • Ability to work in a high volume, dynamic team environment 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  

Intermediate to advanced salesforce.com experience   

Previous CRM or database experience preferred 

Previous healthcare, biotech or sales industry experience preferred 


The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
