What You'll Do
As a Counselor, you'll play a vital role in each patient's recovery journey. You'll build meaningful therapeutic relationships, guide individuals through treatment, and empower them to achieve lasting recovery. Working alongside an interdisciplinary care team, you'll provide counseling, develop individualized treatment plans, coordinate care, and connect patients with the resources they need to succeed.
Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group substance use counseling.
  • Complete patient assessments, intakes, and treatment planning.
  • Monitor patient progress and update treatment plans as needed.
  • Coordinate care with community providers and referral resources.
  • Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Educate patients on recovery, relapse prevention, and available resources.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and company standards.
  • Support a positive, compassionate, and patient-centered treatment environment.

Qualifications Required
  • Active LADC license/certification in the State of Minnesota.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with individuals in recovery.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to manage confidential information.

Preferred
  • Experience working in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or human services.
  • Knowledge of addiction treatment, recovery principles, and treatment planning.
