We're looking for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and collaborating across teams. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in energy procurement, pricing strategy, and market analysis while supporting high-impact customer relationships.

What You'll Do

As an Energy Procurement Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping our Sales team deliver competitive energy solutions to clients. You will manage the procurement process from initial quote through contract execution while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and an outstanding customer experience.

Energy Procurement

  • Manage the end-to-end electricity and natural gas procurement process, from data collection through contract execution.
  • Develop, issue, and manage supplier pricing requests (RFQs) while ensuring deadlines and client commitments are met.
  • Collect, analyze, and compare supplier pricing proposals to identify the most competitive options.
  • Review pricing structures, market data, and contract terms to support informed decision making.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in supplier bids.

Client & Sales Support

  • Partner closely with Sales team to deliver accurate, timely pricing and market intelligence.
  • Prepare clear summaries of supplier proposals and pricing results for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Support customer renewal strategies by identifying upcoming contract expirations and preparing updated market pricing.
  • Serve as a key point of contact throughout the pricing and contracting process.

Data Analysis & Process Management

  • Maintain accurate customer portfolio information and validate data received from clients, suppliers, and utilities.
  • Complete post-contract activities including contract confirmation, documentation, and CRM updates.
  • Monitor pricing activity, track procurement metrics, and support reporting needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes, and system functionality.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Energy Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in energy markets, energy procurement, pricing, sales operations, analytics, or a related business function.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with electricity or natural gas suppliers, utilities, energy consultants, or energy brokers.
  • Understanding of deregulated energy markets and energy procurement processes.
  • Experience reviewing contracts, pricing models, or supplier proposals.
  • Familiarity with CRM, pricing, procurement, or contract management systems.

Why Join World Fuel?

  • Gain exposure to wholesale electricity and natural gas markets across North America.
  • Work alongside experienced energy professionals and industry experts.
  • Play a direct role in helping clients manage energy costs and procurement strategies.
  • Develop expertise in pricing, market analysis, contract management, and energy procurement.
  • Join a collaborative team that values innovation, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
  • Opportunity to build a long-term career in the energy industry.
