Job description

Remote | 3-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $35.00 per Hour

A large, multi-state organization operating in a highly regulated industry is seeking an Operations Paralegal to support regulatory compliance, licensing, and operational legal initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented paralegal with experience navigating government regulations, compliance requirements, and multi-state operations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain FMCSA regulatory filings and compliance documentation
  • Assist with state licensing, registrations, and permitting requirements for multiple locations
  • Navigate and manage submissions through WIOA and FMCSA government portals
  • Support business formation and corporate documentation for acquired entities
  • Maintain compliance records and reporting across multiple jurisdictions
  • Conduct regulatory research and assist with compliance-related projects
  • Organize and track critical filings, deadlines, and operational documentation
Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Regulatory, Compliance, Corporate, or Operations Paralegal
  • Experience with multi-state licensing, permitting, or regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity with FMCSA and/or WIOA programs and platforms is strongly preferred
  • Strong legal research, document drafting, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning and utilizing multiple software systems, databases, and government portals
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Must be U.S.-based and capable of working independently in a fully remote environment
  • Midwest-based candidates are strongly preferred
