Radiologic Technologist - CT Specialist
Schedule
This position requires three 12-hour shifts per week, with 50% on-call responsibilities, including every other weekend.
Job Description
The Radiologic Technologist - CT Specialist reviews patient history and physician's orders, educates patients on procedures and equipment, and prepares and administers contrast media and medications as needed. Continuously monitoring patient condition, the technologist reports and responds to changes in status. Key responsibilities also include preparing equipment and supplies, implementing safety standards, performing quality control, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, positioning patients, performing imaging procedures, and analyzing results to identify and resolve image quality issues.
Responsibilities
  • Review patient history and physician's orders.
  • Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exams.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the scope of practice.
  • Continuously monitor patient condition and report changes as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Position patients and conduct imaging procedures.
  • Analyze imaging results and identify quality issues.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Associate degree in radiologic technology; completion of CT technology certificate program preferred.
  • Two years of recent experience in Radiology and CT.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography (CT).
