Job description

This position works Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design new innovative tractor implements, skid steer/excavator attachments, OEM products, etc.
  • Manage all aspects of design projects including concept, prototyping, testing and design for manufacturability.
  • Provide support to manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated, welded and assembled based on the intended functionality of the design.
  • Present design concepts, features, opportunities and challenges to the Land Pride management team.
  • Utilize analysis software, evaluate field testing and recommend design modifications to optimize product designs.
  • Create detailed drawings, bill of materials, test plans, etc.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to engineering manager.
  • Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands and/or work environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering; or three or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with PRO-E, Solid Works, FEA software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods and ability work in a fast-paced environment within a diverse group.
  • Excellent communicator who performs well solving problems and working in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electronic integration is a plus.
  • Knowledge of farming practices and equipment helpful.
