Job description

Software Engineer

The Software Engineer is responsible for assisting in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications under the guidance of senior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, contribute to technical solutions, and continuously learn and grow your engineering skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies (team standup, retrospective etc.)
  • Provide production support, triage and solve production issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Develop business features by designing, developing, and testing software solutions.
  • Assess current SDP modules by conducting systems analysis and recommending optimizations to make the application more performant/respond to customer needs.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and development practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three or more years of Software Engineering experience with a focus on APIs and system integration.
  • More than 2 years of experience in agile methodologies.
  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of portal software, design, and development.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • More than 2 years of experience in supporting and triaging customer-facing platforms.
  • More than 2 years of experience in monitoring tools New Relics, data dog.
  • More than 2 years of experience in linux/unix, SQL, Java, Spring, Python and AWS.
  • Experience with Palantir.
