Location: Rancho Santa Margarita, CA
Employment Type: 3–6-month contract

Schedule: 9/80 work schedule

About the Opportunity:
Inspect, test, and verify items before, during and after manufacturing operations as required by Inspection and Quality Assurance Instructions. Ensures compliance to drawing, specification, test procedure requirements. Performs inspection functions on all Electro-Mechanical Product Lines as required. Actively monitors and develop Suppliers on a continual basis to meet Palomar Products Quality standards. Monitors and maintains the Calibration system. Performs required work within established time standards.

What You'll Do:
* Performs inspection of various advanced electrical and mechanical assemblies to assure compliance to drawings and procedures.
* Performs inspection of electronic components at Receiving Inspection in accordance with the AS5553 & IDEA-STD-1010.
* Verifies items exhibit workmanship as required by contract, drawing and specification.
* Process non-conforming product through the Material Review Board (MRB) Process and conduct corrective action follow-up per internal and customer quality system requirements.
* Monitors and leads the Material Review Board (MRB) with Quality Engineering
* Verifies, identifies, and documents the inspection and configuration status of items. 1 Quality Control Inspector III
* Verifies and validates material certifications and parts conformity.
* Maintains accurate inspection records.
* Inspects in-process and finished items for completeness, proper assembly, cleanliness, damage, and other characteristics as specified by travelers, Inspection Instructions, and other pertinent documentation.
* Performs, develops, and maintains First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102.
* Performs audits of the Quality, Manufacturing and Documentation Control Systems as directed by the Quality Manager.
* Requests assistance from Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Engineering as required to ensure adequate requirement verification.
* Performs all work in an ESD safe manner.
* Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned
* Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate Company needs.
Some travel may be required.

What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Quality Inspection role

What Sets You Apart:
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry workmanship standards.
* Able to read and follow electrical and assembly drawings, and work instructions.
* Ability to witness test and understand electrical test data.
* Familiar with IPC-610 or J-STD (Electronics) inspection.
* Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
* Advanced knowledge of Counterfeit Electronics Inspection processes.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access.
* Excellent command of English Language.
* Legible handwriting.
