Pay: $48.00 - $88.00 per hour

Job description:

Contract Type: Contractor

Duration: 6 months [possible extension]

Pay Range: Commensurate with experience.

Work Location: Sandy Hook, CT

Work Hours: 8AM-4:30PM; 30-minute lunch; overtime as needed.

Department: Electrical Test Lab

Reports to: Electrical Test Lab Manager

Education Needed: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related)

Must‑Have Qualifications:

About the role

  • We are seeking a hands‑on Electrical/Electronic Test Engineer to design, implement, and validate automated test solutions for electronic components on the Advantest V93000 platform using SmarTest Version 7. You will develop production‑quality test programs, test methods, and test flows.

What you'll do

  • Test Program Development (SmarTest 7):
  • Design and implement test flows, test methods, and timing/levels/pin configurations for digital and mixed‑signal devices on V93000 (SmarTest 7 Workbench).
  • Develop vector sets/patterns, parametric tests (VI, VOH/VOL, leakage, IDD, propagation delays, functional tests).

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years (or equivalent) in semiconductor/electronic ATE test development, with hands‑on experience on Advantest V93000 using SmarTest Version 7.
  • Proficiency in SmarTest 7 Workbench (test flow design, timing/levels, DC/AC test methods, pattern/vector creation).
  • Strong programming skills for test development (C/C++ for test methods) and scripting (Python) for automation/data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of digital test concepts (pin timing, edges, drive/capture, burst/pattern debug) and parametric testing.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills; ability to operate in a fast‑paced lab environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025 or similar quality systems/common lab SOPs.
