Job description

EHDD is seeking thoughtful and passionate designers to join our team in Seattle. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an award-winning practice that is forward-focused and values the rigorous process of experimentation and implementation. We are looking for a Designer II with 3-5 years of experience to work independently on original drawings and creative production work across all phases of design. This position offers the opportunity to participate in everything from initial programming through construction documentation, while contributing to project pursuits, awards submittals, and conceptual design.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct design studies and participate in design workshops with designer lead.
  • Prepare drawings for schematic design, design development, and contract documents including developing design sketches, renderings, models, graphics, details, sections, elevations and schedules.
  • Develop details with senior technical architects
  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives.
  • Work closely and clearly communicating with the team. Team members balance their independent work with the need to stay closely connected to the team.
  • Contribute to a creative and congenial office environment.
  • Support the firm's mission through behavior consistent with our core values.

Qualifications
  • Professional degree from an accredited school of architecture.
  • 3-5 years experience in a Design or Architectural practice.
  • Proven excellence in design and presentation skills.
  • Strong 3D visualization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite [Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint].
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and other complex computer modeling software Experience with Grasshopper is a plus.
  • Fluency with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent time management abilities
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable design principles and LEED accreditation are a plus.
