Position - Product Engineer I-Product Safety and Compliance
Location - Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526
Contract Duration - 24+ Months with the possibility of extension based on performance and client needs
Shift Time - 1st shift: Core hours 8am-4pm

Pay Range  - 35$/hr.-40$/hr. on w2
Job Description

Your Responsibilities

  • As a Product Safety and Standards Engineer for Client's Turf Compact Utility in Fuquay-Varina, NC you will:
  • Gather data from test labs, product engineering teams, and others in support of safety and compliance activities.
  • Prepare compliance documentation for commercial mowing, golf, and other products.
  • Create and maintain test activity template records
  • Work with third-party companies to gather information on market entry requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to tailor communications to audience
  • Skills in managing multiple simultaneous projects
  • Able to coordinate efforts and develop consensus recommendations
  • Able to review, understand, and explain requirements from standards and/or regulations

Specific Position Requirements

  • Knowledge and familiarity of engineering concepts related to mobile off-road machinery
  • Familiarity with regulations and standards, including but not limited to: EN, IEC, ISO, SAE, UL

Education

  • Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or equivalent experience.
