Job description

The Contracts Coordinator is primarily responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and revising Life.Church contracts, including identifying and recommending additions or revisions to legal terms and analyzing risk exposure based on data privacy, legal terminology, confidentiality, and other risk factors. This role manages trademark registrations and renewals and facilitates corporate registrations. The Coordinator will identify and escalate contracts and other legal concerns to the Legal team appropriately. This role will also support office operations by managing the team budget and Legal inbox, responding to basic questions and inquiries and escalating to other Legal team members where appropriate. The Coordinator will also act as the main point of contact for the Conga system and support back-end management of the system.
This role is responsible for providing operational and administrative support in coordination with their team's efforts to further Life.Church's mission and reach people for Christ.
What You'll Do
Support Contract Creation and Review Processes
  • Manage Conga contracts system, reviewing and sorting contracts queue and approving contract terms.
  • Review all contracts submitted by Life.Church employees, analyzing potential points of liability, indemnity obligations, and other business terms in each contract under supervision of an attorney.
  • Provide analysis of contracts to leadership and obtain necessary approval of contract terms.
  • Suggest revisions on contracts to protect Life.Church from liability and provide favorable business terms.
  • Draft contracts using Life.Church's standard legal terms when a contract is not provided.
  • Analyze global Bible contracts for YouVersion, collaborating with team during negotiations.
  • Ensure each contract is properly attributed in the Conga contracts system, supporting long-term storage initiatives.
  • Manage contract templates.

Support Legal Team Daily Operations
  • Manage certificates of insurability, ensuring they are obtained and up-to-date.
  • Correspond and communicate with contract owners regarding status of a contract and key points needing review.
  • Support back-end management of Conga contracts system (resetting passwords, training new users, etc.).
  • Train and provide learning materials regarding the contract process and related policies.
  • Manage the Legal team inbox, responding to questions or assigning tasks or projects as needed.
  • Triage questions from attendees or other churches regarding legal issues or materials, coordinating with Life.Church teams to provide guidance.
  • Manage the budgeting process for the Legal team, as needed.

  • Effective at multi-tasking, time management, and follow up to meet committed timelines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to foster relationships and partnerships.
  • Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, make independent decisions, and problem-solve.
  • Maintain a systematic and organized approach to completing assignments accurately, thoroughly, and timely.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience preferred.
