Job description

IT Process Automation Developer

The Opportunity:

When an IT organization has multiple moving parts in its processes, it can be difficult to critically examine them. To be more efficient and effective, it needs a Process Automation Specialist to learn its business and mission end-to-end and provide ways to change for the better. That's why we need you, an experienced IT Process Automation Specialist who knows how to analyze every aspect of your customers' operations and support them with automation tools to streamline and improve their processes.

As a Process Automation Analyst at Booz Allen, you'll harness your strong analytical problem-solving abilities and proficiency with automation tools to help drive impactful, enterprise-wide changes. In this role, you will serve as a member of the Process Improvement team and you will collaborate as a trusted advisor to your clients as you elicit, define, and translate business needs into clear development specifications, future-state process designs, and functional automation solutions, while helping to identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes and along the way.

You'll design, develop, test, document, and deploy custom Power Apps to address specific operational needs and reporting requirements, troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing automated solutions, and provide hands-on support and training on newly implemented solutions, features, and tools. You'll manage projects of varying size and complexity as you implement creative solutions that reduce errors and manual work.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience automating processes using tools such as Power Automate, Power BI, Advana, Jupiter, Qlik, and UiPath

  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis, interpretation, presentation, and development of dashboards using tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Power BI

  • Experience with at least one programming language, such as HTML, Java, SQL, or Python

  • Experience in project management, process analysis, and process improvement

  • Experience in citizen development and coaching employees on digital tools

  • Knowledge of data governance principles and frameworks

  • Knowledge of database structures and querying, such as Python or SQL

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+, CASP, or CISSP Certification before start date

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in integrating automation solutions with enterprise systems or cloud services such as Microsoft 365 and ServiceNow

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

  • Possession of verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate technical processes to non-technical staff

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
