Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Principal Process Engineer to join our team supporting Fluor on their Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project! This position is full-time and will be based out of Greenville, SC.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical direction to assigned engineers.
  • Conduct construction document reviews as required.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate process / mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team / design projects while engaged in the planning, design, and construction phases of engineering projects including project startup.
  • Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) development.
  • Demonstrate design experience in areas such as but not limited to mechanical systems and equipment design.
  • Generate and review the accuracy of design / evaluation calculations, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.

Requirements
  • Education & Years of Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and 15+ years of relevant (Nuclear experience preferred) experience.
  • Citizenship - To be considered, you MUST be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
  • B.S. degree MUST be in Chemical Engineering
  • Experience with design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering.
  • Must have a working knowledge of federal (including Department of Energy Orders), state, and local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design.

Desired Skills
  • Professional Engineer License preferred.
