Job description

Platform DevOps Engineer

The Opportunity:

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you know that good software is more than a nice-looking interface plus data. You need the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to help build a user-oriented solution and delivery consistently and continuously. As a DevSecOps engineer at Booz Allen, you'll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and resources to overcome your clients' most difficult challenges. You'll use your passion to master new tools and techniques while helping to identify and implement system improvements. You'll collaborate with your team as you code and deliver solutions that support the current architecture and operating environment, as well as support future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools, including Gitlab CI or Argo CD

  • Experience with containerization including Docker, Kubernetes, or EKS

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Helm, Terraform, or Ansible

  • Experience writing and maintaining .gitlab-ci.yml, configuring multi-stage pipelines, and integrating C++, C, or C# builds with automated tests and security scans

  • Ability to containerize C++, C, or C# applications such as Docker, manage build artifacts, and support reproducible builds across environments

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience with software development, or 5+ years of experience with software development in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with modern C++, C, C# development, including building and maintaining C++ applications, interpreting compilation toolchains, dependency management, and platform-specific build constraints

  • Experience with front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, or JavaScript, modern frameworks, including Angular, React, or Vue.js, and back-end languages such as .NET, ASP.NET Core, or Node.js

  • Experience handling databases, including SQL, such as MySQL or SQL Server and NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

  • Experience working in a microservices or distributed application environment

  • Experience with WebAssembly, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture

  • Knowledge of Linux shell scripting and automation

  • Knowledge of relational databases (RDMS), NoSQL, columnar, and graph data stores and structured and unstructured data formats

  • Top Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
