Job description

PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions servicing the Life Sciences sector, is seeking an Civil & Site Development Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of early construction activities for pharmaceutical capital projects. This role is responsible for managing site preparation, civil works, demolition, temporary facilities, and infrastructure projects while ensuring safe, on-time, and high-quality project delivery.
Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
  • Manage enabling works projects, including scope, budget, schedule, contracts, and project risks.
  • Lead contractors through mobilization, execution, and project closeout.
  • Oversee site preparation, demolition, temporary facilities, and early civil and infrastructure work.
  • Promote a strong safety culture, particularly during high-risk construction activities such as excavation, heavy lifting, and temporary utility installations.
  • Coordinate with site operations, utilities, design, and construction teams to ensure project readiness.
  • Manage permitting, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements for enabling works.
  • Lead project change control, contractor performance reviews, and claims management.
  • Ensure a smooth handover of completed work, project documentation, and lessons learned to construction and project management teams.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of capital project experience, including at least 5 years managing enabling works, civil, or site development projects.
  • Experience delivering large-scale construction projects (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated industries preferred).
  • Strong contractor management and project execution experience.
  • Knowledge of permitting and environmental compliance; Puerto Rico permitting experience is a plus.
  • PMP certification and OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • English required; Spanish strongly preferred.
