Performs pipe welding primarily in a 1G position. Must pass a test in 6G position.
Responsibilities:
  • Layout and fit pipe, offsets, bends, and radiuses. Assemble and install hangers, pipes, and fittings using couplings, clamps, flanges, bolts, pro press, soldering, brazing, and tack welding. Use a cutting torch to cut and bevel steel pipe
  • Performs pipe welding primarily in a 1G position. Must pass a test in 6G position.
  • Piping systems include Chilled Water, Heating Water, Refrigeration, Condensate, Steam, and Condenser Water piping
  • Understand installation of piping systems according to the contract drawings, shop drawings, and details
  • Keeps work area clean and in an orderly condition. Follows all company and Jobsite / OSHA safety regulations
  • Perform material takeoffs
  • Pipe testing and flushing per project requirements
Qualifications:
  • 4 years of Commercial or Industrial work experience
  • Able to stand, lift, put together, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lbs. without assistance
