Our client is a non-profit organization operating three Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in Ocracoke, Engelhard, and Manteo, North Carolina. Established in 1981, the organization has provided family practice medical care with a strong focus on serving individuals with limited access to healthcare services.

Designated as a Rural Health Center since 1982, the organization is committed to providing accessible, high-quality primary care to all citizens, residents, and visitors, regardless of their ability to pay. Their mission centers on delivering compassionate, patient-focused healthcare to the communities they serve.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Contract Pharmacist for a part-time, on-site assignment in Engelhard, North Carolina, lasting 6-8 weeks beginning June 22, 2026.

The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, monitoring medication therapies, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role also requires adherence to all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.

  • Counsel patients regarding medication usage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.

  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
