Description:

EXEMPT. This position works with DOD and DOE which involve both Fixed Price Contracts and Cost Reimbursable Contracts. Responsible for the safe and successful execution of each assigned project. Manages, coordinates, and administers projects from the conceptual stage through planning, startup, executions and contract closeout. PM is the designated key contact person who must provide clear, effective and professional communication with the clients, subcontractors, regulators, and stakeholders (as required). Responsible to effectively manage the contract in accordance with contract terms, local, state, federal and other special governing requirements (e.g., F.A.R., CFR’s, OSHA, MSHA, NIOSH, etc.) and must be familiar with these requirements. Manages the contract deliverables, terms and conditions to determine project schedules and milestones, coordinates the participation of responsible entities and defines the major task areas. Responsible for directing and reviewing project specific policies and procedures and ensuring the policies and procedures are strictly enforced. Responsible and accountable for the overall management of each assigned project which includes but is not limited to; contract management, claims management, development of budgets and schedules, monitor project progress and initiate appropriate action to ensure that project objectives and schedules are met and work is performed within budget and with the appropriate level of safety and quality.

Duties

· Provides project management and leadership for project and client personnel responsible for Environmental Remediation, (both radiological and no radiological) Demolition, Waste Handling & Packaging and Site Restoration for closure.

· Knowledgeable and experienced with environmental laws and regulations including contract specific requirements, local, state and federal laws.

· Well versed in OSHA Health and Safety requirements and effective implementation.

· Responsible for project planning, determining means/methods and strategies for performing all work and will work with applicable managers and SME’s to ensure requirements are incorporated and executed.

· Successful management of project costs, schedule, change orders and billing.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· B.S. degree in engineering, science, or related technical field (preferred).

· Minimum required knowledge and experience qualifications: Strong computer skills and the ability to use various computer programs on a daily basis including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

· Ability to travel as necessary to manage projects.

· Prefer 10 years of experience supervising and managing projects (both radiological and no radiological) related to environmental remediation, demolition and hazardous materials.

· Ability to anticipate, investigate and resolve project production issues. This includes client complaint resolution, project health and safety issues, and project personnel administration.

· 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety

· 40-hour HAZWOPER plus 8-hour Supervisor

· Desirable 40-hour Asbestos Abatement Worker plus 8-hour Supervisor.


Working Conditions

· Frequently required to lift, carry and transport supplies and equipment to projects in the field.

· Required to regularly sit, stand, and walk around both in office environments and in the field.

· Conditions in the field may include industrial/construction sites, open fields, wooded areas and rugged terrain. Climbing may be required.

· Required to be able to wear protective clothing and respiratory protection devices.

· Work environment is dictated by individual project conditions. May be located indoors or outdoors, with environmental temperature ranging from 0 to 120 degrees F. Projects may include exposure to dust, fumes, mists and vapors and may include exposure to radiation and hazardous materials. May also include exposure to noisy environments.
