Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - North Carolina Division.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Titration of vesicant medications. Familiarity with pressors. Sedation. Paralytics. Experience with vents. Experience with trachs. PA catheter setup and interpretation.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Transvenous pacing preferred. Cardioversion preferred. TEE preferred. Familiarity with chest tube insertions and maintenance preferred. IABP preferred. Impella preferred. CRRT preferred.

Unit Details: Patient ratios: 2/1 or 1/1 (occasionally 3/1 depending on acuity). RNs only; no HUC or PCT. Equipment includes vent, telemetry, Baxter IV Pump, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia. Procedures performed on unit include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis.

Shift & Scheduling: Alternating weekends.

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
