Job description

Leading Medical Manufacture is seeking to hire temporary Packagers!
1st shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm
2nd shift: 3:15pm - 11:45pm
Qualifications

  • Position requires the ability to stoop, bend over, reach and manipulate objects repetitively while standing for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 30lbs using safe lifting techniques
  • Excellent eyesight and general health is required
  • Ability to physically respond quickly to developments on the production line

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for performing manual packaging and other tasks associated with other duties, while working in a in a fast pace work environment in the packaging department
  • Follows verbal instructions from department Lead and/or Manager or other authorized personnel
  • Follows basic GMP guidelines associated with the packaging process
  • Performs various types of manual packaging such as packing bottles, jars, packets, pouches, blister cards, coupons, inserts, pamphlets, etc
  • into cartons and/or master shippers
  • Manually assembles, builds, erects and closes cartons, consumer boxes and master shippers to meet packaging line demands
  • Manually applies labels to various size boxes such as consumers, inner cases, outer cases and master shippers
  • Manually performs 100% inspections on various types of products assuring proper fill counts are met, lot coding information is present and legible and reject any defects from the line by placing into designated reject bins
  • Manually performs re-bulk process to retrieve bulk product from original packaging for repackaging purposes
  • Manually palletizes master shippers onto pallets following appropriate pallet configuration as described on Finished Product Master Batch Record
  • Assists with basic cleaning of the line to include line and conveyor wipe down, emptying trash receptacles and mopping of the floors
  • Some tooling and machine parts washing may be required with some direction and supervision
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace work environment at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Mainly working in the packaging area of the packaging facility where exposed to moving mechanical parts, forklifts, pallet jacks, heavy pallets, moderate to loud noise level, and some air-borne dust and powders
  • While working, will be required to wear various Personal Protective Equipment, such as hair net restraints, face mask, gloves, uniform and safety glasses.
