Job description

New Tech Global is currently seeking a Cost Estimator (Offshore) in Houston, Texas. This is a contract to hire opportunity.
Overview
The Cost Estimator will support offshore engineering and marine construction projects. This role is responsible for developing accurate project cost estimates, reviewing project plans and specifications, preparing estimate summaries, and collaborating with internal teams to support project execution.
  • Prepare cost estimates for offshore engineering, marine construction, and related projects.
  • Review project drawings, plans, specifications, and scope documents to develop accurate estimates.
  • Summarize project estimates and present findings during internal review meetings.
  • Coordinate with engineering, commercial, project management, production, purchasing, and accounting teams to gather estimating data.
  • Assist with project budget development and help maintain accurate project cost records.
  • Manage multiple estimating assignments while meeting deadlines.
  • Prepare clear reports, spreadsheets, and presentation materials.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Ocean/Marine, Construction, Industrial) or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in cost estimating.
  • Experience in the marine industry, offshore wind, offshore oil & gas, dredging, or marine construction preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
