Location: Clermont, FL 34715
Job Type: Contract – 11 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 Hours/Week
Shift Schedule

  • Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join a busy outpatient healthcare team in Clermont, FL.

The Medical Assistant will support both front-office and back-office operations, providing quality patient care, assisting healthcare providers, and helping ensure smooth daily clinic operations. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and administrative medical assisting experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome, prepare, and room patients while providing excellent customer service.
  • Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
  • Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection.
  • Administer vaccines and other injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Perform EKGs and Point-of-Care (POC) testing.
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
  • Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and assist with patient flow.
  • Accurately document patient information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and appropriate infection control standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to support quality patient care.
  • Participate in patient education and health promotion activities.
  • Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach at all times.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience, excluding externship experience.
  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience is required.
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience is required.
  • Strong front-office and back-office medical assisting experience.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant certification such as CMA, RMA, or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous Occupational Health experience preferred.
