Job description

Job Title: Local Contract - Computed Tomography Technologist Number of positions: 1 Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Night shifts- 40 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 03/24/2024 Hourly pay: $49.50 OT: 1.5 Weekly Pay: $1,856.25 JOB DESCRIPTION Summary Department: Computerized Tomography CT Shift timings: 15:00 - 23:30 Monday to firday (5 Days/8 Hours) Per Week: 40 Hours BLS, ARRT, WI license. Call: based on department needs - currently 2 week nights per pay period (2 week span) - only used if third shift calls in sick, every other weekend call - second or third shift rotation, holidays - rotated with staff and would be second or third shift hours. Roles & Responsibilities
  • Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
  • Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
  • Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
  • Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
  • Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
  • Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
  • Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
  • Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience: Siemens and GE scanners, current with x-ray as third shift is also x-ray tech, EPIC, Needs to be able to do both CT and x-ray for this role; may need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current CT Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/CT Tech program
  • Active unencumbered CT Tech Indiana state license
  • One year of Cerner experience
  • ARRT Certification
