How you will make an impact:

Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division (CSD) is a clinical next-generation sequencing business within Life Sciences Solutions Group (LSG), offering instrument, software, reagent, assay, and workflow solutions serving targeted sequencing and clinical next-generation sequencing markets.

Seeking a Senior Manager, Finance who will lead key financial planning and analysis activities for the Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division. This role will report to the Senior Director, Finance and work with the team to provide finance support across the division. This is a high visibility role within the business, providing a tremendous opportunity for learning and long-term career growth. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a strong financial background, high level of attention to detail, and passion for continuous improvement. We are a fast-paced, robust team looking for an addition that will help us continue to drive the Finance function forward.

What you will do:

  • Lead AOP / QBR / STRAP/ MBR, in a matrixed financial forecast
  • Monitor and analyze financials, including leading monthly and quarterly reporting (revenue, gross margin, OPEX, KPI's, CAPEX)
  • Lead data analysis for the business, using complex data and problem solving
  • Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and identify pertinent financial highlights, enabling understanding of progress against strategic business plans
  • Understand and deploy the best tools / methods to effectively communicate complex data
  • Develop high quality effective presentations (i.e. engaging, motivating, concise, well-prep)
  • Identify, communicate, and lead risk & opportunities
  • Build and develop a high performing team

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in progressive finance, including financial planning & analysis, reporting and analytics

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Self-reliant problem solver with a natural bias toward continuous operational improvement
  • Outstanding Excel and data analytics skills
  • Understanding of finance, accounting, and impact to reporting systems
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning, SmartView, PowerBI or similar systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of working with a diverse group of individuals
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior management
  • Demonstrated experience in a sophisticated, multinational, heavily matrixed organization
  • Embraces challenges in a continuously evolving environment

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$170,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
