Are you a database expert who thrives on solving complex performance challenges and wants to make a lasting impact at the heart of a global technology leader, where your expertise keeps mission critical applications running at peak performance? 

As a Senior Application Database Developer, you will serve as the strategic bridge between application development and database operations designing, optimizing, and governing database solutions that power enterprise wide applications. You will collaborate with global teams, application owners, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures that align with business objectives and service level commitments.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Design & optimize stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages; analyze query execution plans to resolve bottlenecks and implement performance-driven indexing strategies.
  • Lead database governance by participating in the Change Advisory Board, driving improvement initiatives across the database portfolio, and performing root cause analysis on complex production issues.
  • Champion best practices by promoting SQL coding standards, enforcing secure development practices, and maintaining documentation for schemas, business logic, and workflows.
  • Enable global teams by mentoring application developers and guiding onshore/offshore support teams on database development technologies and standards.
 What Do You Need to Have?
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on work experience
  • 7+ years of experience as an Application Database Developer in complex IT environments
  • Proven expertise in Oracle, MSSQL, and/or MySQL, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers
  • Strong skills in query performance tuning, execution plan analysis, and indexing strategy
  • Experience in manufacturing or regulated industries with knowledge of ITAR, PCI, SOX, NIST, or similar data security frameworks
  • Effective leadership and communication skills; ability to influence and collaborate across international, cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in both Linux and Windows OS environments
  • Nice to have: Exposure to cloud based database platforms such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL
