Job Title: Data Entry Operator – Intermediate
Location: Merrillville, IN 46410 (Hybrid)
Schedule: Onsite Tuesday–Thursday required; Remote Monday & Friday
Duration: 1-Year Contract
Rate: $20 – $23/hr (Non-Exempt)
Position Overview
The Data Entry Operator – Intermediate supports high-volume data entry and data maintenance activities across multiple systems while handling confidential and sensitive information. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and productivity in a structured, policy-driven environment. Candidates must be able to work onsite Tuesday through Thursday and follow a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Perform intermediate to advanced data entry, including alpha and numeric data input.

Support multiple data entry initiatives and data cleanup efforts across various systems.

Proof and validate work for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Prioritize workloads through coding, sorting, and tracking activities.

Identify and correct errors through visual inspection and quality checks.

Maintain accurate records, logs, and tracking reports.

Generate reports based on entered and processed data.

Handle confidential and sensitive information in compliance with established policies and procedures.

Make decisions and recommendations within established guidelines and authorized limits.

Provide guidance to other staff after developing strong proficiency in assigned tasks.

Perform basic mechanical adjustments, such as switching sets and changing control features.
Required Qualifications

High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.

4–6 years of relevant data entry or administrative experience.

Ability to key a minimum of 10,000 keystrokes per hour.

Experience using a 10-key adding machine.

Strong mathematical skills and item processing ability.

Proven attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
