Description:

As the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic you will work Monday through Friday on day shift.  Rate is dependent on experience from $22.80 to $33.30 per hour.  You will support the maintenance needs of the organization by responding to manufacturing equipment mechanical failures and general facility maintenance including the preventive maintenance programs to improve manufacturing quality and reduce costs.  You will work within a team environment to meet departmental goals and objectives.  

Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose and repair, with or without schematic or manual, complex, interrelated process machinery; research and recommend efficient and cost-effective solution to appropriate leader.*
2. Perform internal and external facility equipment or building maintenance such as HVAC, painting, plumbing, welding etc.
3. Troubleshoot challenging manufacturing or facility equipment, recommend permanent solution to appropriate leader.*
4. Perform preventive maintenance such as changing coolants, lubricants, or filters, following a set schedule.
5. Train and coach incoming mechanics and maintenance associates on department work instructions, processes, and procedures
6. Wears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory

Physical Requirements:
-Ability to lift 50 lbs required
-Frequently stands, walks, stoops, crouches, climbs, pushes and pulls.
-Operate forklift.
-Work environment subject to seasonal temperature variation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
-Relevant Vocational or Technical certification preferred but not required
-2 to 5 years experience with manufacturing machinery and building experience
-Ability to provide and receive verbal and written instructions
-Intermediate math, computer, and time-management skills
-Ability to self-direct work to complete project within defined time frame
-Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of machine repair, electrical, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, millwright and/or facility maintenance
-Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
-Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

These are Monday through Friday with 3 different schedule opportunities.  

  • 5am to 1:30pm
  • 6am to 2:30pm
  • 7am to 3:30pm.  
  • This position can be Direct Placement as well as Contract to hire
  • Pay range is $22.80 to $33.30 dependent on experience 
  • Also comes with either a $900 or $1100 sign on bonus.
