Job Summary:
Lenmar Consulting Inc is a leading financial company seeking a Middleware Engineer III with expertise in Websphere MQ and Solace administration. The role involves providing 24/7 support, managing MQ environments, and ensuring optimal resilience of deployed systems while collaborating with application teams.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide 24/7 and (when necessary) weekend support for systems involved in the architecture.
โ€ข Function as IBM Websphere MQ administrator. Install MQ environments on Windows and Linux.
โ€ข Create and configure Queue Managers, channels, queues, and other MQ objects.
โ€ข Perform the backup and restore of Queue Managers and related objects. Recover damaged MQ installations and/or Queue Managers.
โ€ข Upgrade and patch MQ environments on Windows and Linux.
โ€ข Implement custom MQ security solutions using channel exists or SSL. Set up SSL communications between MQ servers and MQ clients to MQ servers.
โ€ข Install and configure MQ Clients on Windows and UNIX platforms
โ€ข Function as Solace Messaging Engineer.
โ€ข Installation, upgrade and patching of Solace Appliances.
โ€ข Administration of Solace Appliances.
โ€ข Configuring Redundancy and Fault tolerance of Solace Infrastructure.
โ€ข Experience in configuring Solace bridging between Remote Solace Appliances.
โ€ข Experience in configuring different protocols with Solace appliances โ€“ MQTT, REST, AMQP.
โ€ข Experience in using Solace CLI to configure different solace objects.
โ€ข In-depth knowledge of Solace Queue and Topics.
โ€ข Enabling SSL for Solace communications.
โ€ข Interface with Application teams in troubleshooting complex, cross-platform issues related to Solace communication.
โ€ข Identify operational and infrastructure risks within the environment and work with the application development teams and APS to make corrections and mitigate risks.
โ€ข Ensure optimal resilience of deployed systems and meet all disaster recovery and compliance requirements dictated by the business.
โ€ข Configuring monitoring for Solace Appliances.
โ€ข Developing Python and Ansible playbooks to automate the Messaging Infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Strong Knowledge and experience with IBM MQ and Solace Installation/Configuration and Setup.
โ€ข Working knowledge of setting up Redundancy and fault tolerance between Solace Appliances.
โ€ข Knowledge on setting up SSL for Solace and IBM MQ.
โ€ข Strong Knowledge and experience with MQ processes, triggers, channels and clustering.
โ€ข Exposure to monitoring tools such as Nastel
โ€ข Knowledge on Kafka
โ€ข Strong knowledge and experience with PowerShell scripting.
โ€ข Working knowledge of Microsoft O/S, SUN Solaris, and Linux.
โ€ข Working knowledge and experience with Python and Bash scripting.
โ€ข Will be required to comply fully with the bank's general policies on attendance, compliance and professional conduct.
โ€ข Willingness to adapt to the changes constantly introduced by the Bank's dynamic environment.
