Job description

Operator I – Medical Device Assembly (1st Shift)

Location: St. Paul, MN (New Brighton Location)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (4 x 10-hour shifts)
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Extension Possible Based on Performance)
Start Date: Immediate Start Available Upon Completion of Required Screenings

Job Overview

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Operator I professionals to join a leading Medical Device manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with cleanroom and medical device assembly experience who are looking to grow their careers in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble medical device products according to established procedures and quality standards.

  • Perform product inspections and testing throughout the manufacturing process.

  • Conduct periodic microscope work for quality verification.

  • Package and box finished products for shipment.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FDA regulations, and GMP requirements.

  • Utilize hand tools and equipment, including electrical torque drivers and screwdrivers.

  • Participate in cross-training activities to support various production areas.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 1–3 years of experience working in a cleanroom environment within the Medical Device industry.

  • Previous medical device assembly experience required.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

  • Understanding of SOPs, FDA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred.

  • Experience with soldering and microscope inspection is highly preferred.

Work Environment
  • Medical device manufacturing facility.

  • Required use of PPE, including:

    • Hair Net

    • Beard Net (if applicable)

    • Shoe Covers

    • Safety Glasses

  • Cleanroom environment with strict quality and safety requirements.
