What you'll do at DBH :
Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Supervisor to join our team. This role provides leadership and oversight to nursing staff while ensuring high-quality patient care in a behavioral health hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general and direct supervision of nursing staff, ensuring consistent adherence to standards of care.
  • Conduct regular rounds in residential units and review nursing care plan documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Review & follow up on Incident Reports, Codes, Medication Error Reports, Falls, and reports related to Mechanical Support Devices or Seclusion/Restraint.
  • Prepare and deliver clear written & verbal reports to Nurse Executives regarding clinical operations, staffing, and patient care issues.
  • Serve as Administrator on Duty (AOD) for entire facility during after-hours shifts as needed, providing leadership and operational support.
This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units , with a pay range of 15 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule Normal working hours are 6:00PM-6:30AM.
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Qualifications
Position Qualifications:
Requires current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code;24 mos. exp. in psychiatric nursing or delivery of nursing services to persons with developmental disabilities; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in employee training & development; 3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in public relations; 3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in counseling.

The equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience requirements, but not for the mandated licensure.
