Job description

We are looking for a talented Contracts Manager to support our rapidly growing Buy with Prime and Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment businesses.
The successful candidate has excellent communication skills, and will support drafting and negotiating contracts, help develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways, and build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly. You will also participate in team-wide meetings, departmental goals and collaborative projects, and have access and visibility to business leadership.
Key job responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements on an as needed basis
- Identify key risks/gaps in underlying contracts and recommend changes to mitigate risk
- Respond promptly, accurately, and crisply to business requests for legal advice and escalate appropriately where required
- Develop and maintain: contract templates, training materials on contracting, confidentiality, company policies, standard operating procedures for contracting processes and track associated metrics, and other legal resources
- Support the continuous improvement of processes impacting our legal team and the businesses we support

You'll navigate intricate contract negotiations, craft innovative legal solutions, and serve as a critical bridge between legal considerations and business objectives. Expect dynamic interactions with cross-functional teams, where your expertise will be instrumental in creating flexible, risk-aware agreements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of contracts management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Experience in project or program management
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience with complex commercial/legal concepts and drafting, ability to quickly read and interpret legal terminology and reasoning

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
