Part-Time Manufacturing Associate – Joliet, IL
Kelly Services is hiring an experienced Part-Time Manufacturing Associate for a leading company in Joliet, IL. If you have a background in the food industry—either in warehousing or restaurants—you are encouraged to apply!
This is a contract-to-hire position, with the potential for permanent hire in 3–4 months based on your attendance and job performance.

Shift & Pay:
1st Shift: 8:00am – 12:00pm, Monday–Friday (approx. 20 hours/week). This could go up to 40 hours in a few months.
$18–$20/hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow approved SOPs, batch records, and production schedules to execute encapsulation processes.
  • Prepare, encapsulate, and package products with accuracy to ensure compliance with quality and labeling standards.
  • Monitor equipment during production and promptly report any issues concerning quality or operations.
  • Assist with equipment setup, breakdown, cleaning, and routine maintenance.
  • Receive, store, label, and track materials and finished goods per inventory control procedures.
  • Perform inventory counts and material usage tracking; report any discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper material rotation and accurate traceability through batch and lot tracking.
  • Maintain cleanroom or controlled environments, strictly adhering to sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Prepare products for shipment, including labeling, packing, and confirming shipment details.
  • Accurately maintain documentation, SOPs, logs, and records in line with company and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor key metrics such as production output, yield, inventory accuracy, and report as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions.
  • Support audits, internal reviews, and collaborate across operations, quality, and customer experience teams.
  • Participate in training and cross-training to support operational needs.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or manufacturing coursework preferred)
  • 1–3 years' experience in manufacturing, production, or operations—regulated/clean environments ideal
  • Experience in the food industry (warehousing or restaurant) is required
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures and records with accuracy
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or manufacturing software is a plus
  • Experience in dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, biotech, or food manufacturing environments is desirable
  • Knowledge of encapsulation equipment and controlled processes is beneficial
