Who we need


Due to significant growth, Array is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional with strong ERP experience, deep knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), and proven experience supporting complex, contract manufacturing environments.


You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Procurement, Continuous Improvement, and Project Management to support product launches, optimize manufacturing processes, and drive data-driven improvements across the shop floor.


This is a full-time, on-site role based at our Scarborough manufacturing facility, working 5 days per week.

As our new Manufacturing Engineer, you will:


Manage ERP, master data, BOMs, and MOM structures

  • Define, maintain, and audit Item Masters, BOMs, MOMs, routings, process plans, and job plans within the ERP system
  • Ensure BOM and MOM accuracy for day-to-day manufacturing execution and cost control
  • Build and maintain routings, including labor standards, machine times, and setup times
  • Support ERP transactions and integrations (SAP, Oracle, EPICOR, or similar acceptable)

Support product launches and change management

  • Support product launches through structured gate reviews
  • Partner with Engineering, Program Management, and Operations to transition products from design to production and change management initiatives
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the full product lifecycle-from concept and design through manufacturing and customer shipment

Drive process improvement and cost optimization

  • Conduct time studies and validate labor standards
  • Update quoting standards for various manufacturing operations
  • Perform basic cost analysis and ROI calculations to support capital investments and process changes
  • Complete end-to-end value stream mapping (VSM) for products or processes, identifying waste and improvement opportunities

Analyze labor, performance, and operational data

  • Analyze direct and indirect labor performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Partner with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement teams to implement practical, data-backed solutions
  • Monitor KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, and throughput

Support automation and data-driven manufacturing

  • Contribute to or lead automation initiatives within the manufacturing environment
  • Use data analysis to identify opportunities for task automation and efficiency gains
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based tools and dashboards for operational reporting

Collaborate and lead through influence

  • Work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, CI, and Project Management teams
  • Support project execution with clear documentation, timelines, and stakeholder communication


You have:


The education

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • P.Eng is an asset

The manufacturing experience

  • Experience in a contract manufacturing or discrete manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience supporting Make-to-Order or Engineer-to-Order operations
  • Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI) and product launches through formal gate review processes
  • Experience interpreting CAD drawings and applying data analysis for process optimization

The ERP and systems expertise

  • Strong ERP experience, ideally (experience with SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar systems is acceptable)
  • Daily, hands-on use of
    BOMs and MOMs in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience building routings, maintaining standards, and supporting production execution

The analytical and CI mindset

  • Proven experience conducting time studies, labor analysis, and cost analysis
  • Exposure to Kaizen, Lean, Continuous Improvement, or CI team initiatives
  • Ability to translate data into practical, shop-floor improvements

The technical skillset

  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • Exposure to BI tools, Power Query, or similar analytics platforms is an asset
  • Experience supporting or implementing manufacturing automation initiatives using AIenabled, data, and digital tools to solve business problems and drive measurable improvements in collaboration with crossfunctional teams.
  • Comfortable operating in an environment undergoing AIdriven transformation, with expectations to modernize ways of working.

The project and communication skills

  • Strong project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and presenting information to technical and non-technical audiences


Compensation:


The salary range for this role is $70,000-$85,000 CAD annually. Compensation is thoughtfully determined based on your experience, skill set, and alignment with our internal compensation framework. We're always happy to answer questions about compensation throughout the hiring process.
